About this years Conference

We work at the intersection of physiology, pharmacology, and human factors—often in situations where seconds matter and uncertainty is high. These demands mean we are not merely technical experts, but also natural leaders in our work environment. Anaesthetists are natural-born leaders.

This year’s PSA conference theme, “Leadership in Anaesthesia,” comes at an impeccable time—an opportunity to reflect, re-learn, and share experiences, while encouraging and nurturing the next generation of vibrant anaesthesia leaders. The programme also features an update from Hyperbaric Medicine, final-year trainee master’s presentations, country updates, and field excursions. Yes—field trips that support team bonding, allow us to experience local culture, and promote well-being. 

Still in Fiji, we take this year’s meeting to Rakiraki—a small town in the Western Division of Viti Levu—approximately a 3 to 3.5-hour drive from Nadi International Airport.
